Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to the www.breatheeasyrentals.com and Breathe Easy Rentals, Inc. and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Breathe Easy Rentals, Inc. include www.breatheeasyrentals.com and BE. The BE website is a website offering vacation rental and property management services. By using the BE website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. 

Collection of your Personal Information

BE may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name. If you utilize BE’s rentals and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future. 

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by BE. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the BE website. 

BE encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from BE so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. BE is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the BE website.

Use of your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (email, name, address, phone number) is transferred to the third party. Opt-In and phone number for purpose of SMS will not be shared with third parties and affiliates for marketing purposes. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services related to the company, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of you information. We may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary: (a) conform to edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the company; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the company; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the company, or the public. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Biometric Information Privacy Policy

In order to comply with various laws concerning biometric data (including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act), the Company has instituted the following policy:

Biometric Information defined: “Biometric information” means any information, regardless of how it is captured, converted, stored, or shared, based on an individual’s biometric identifier used to identify an individual.

Biometric Information Collection: Autohost and Breathe Easy Rentals may utilize biometric technology for the purpose of verifying the authentic identity of guests. As part of this system, Autohost collects and/or stores guests’ biometric identifiers and biometric information.

Consent: In order to use Biometric Information, you will be asked to agree to a consent statement in the Autohost Guest Verification portal before signing and finalizing your rental agreement.

Disclosure: Autohost and Breathe Easy Rentals will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from a guest’s biometric identifier or biometric information. Neither Autohost or Breathe Easy Rentals will disclose or disseminate a guest’s biometric identifier or biometric information to any other person or company unless:

  • The guest or the guest’s legally authorized representative provides consent to such disclosure;
  • The disclosure completes a financial transaction requested or authorized by the guest or the guest’s legally authorized representative;
  • The disclosure is required by state or federal law, or municipal ordinance; or
  • The disclosure is required pursuant to a valid warrant or subpoena


Storage:
Autohost stores personal data on servers provided by Amazon Web Services, located in the United States. Therefore, your personal data may be collected, processed, stored, and transferred to a foreign country, with different privacy laws that may or may not be as comprehensive as the laws in the jurisdiction in which you reside. In these circumstances, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of that country may be able to obtain access to your personal information through the laws of the foreign country. Whenever Autohost engages a service provider, they require that its privacy and security standards adhere to this policy and to the level of privacy protection afforded by the privacy legislation in the jurisdiction in which you reside.

Retention Schedule: Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, Autohost will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
